Remembering Rosa is a Concert for Peace. The concert commemorates the legacy of Rosa Parks – not just her act of civil disobedience but her commitment to life-long learning and the demonstration of solidarity and community connection that led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott just four days later. The concert also lifts up and celebrates stories of people’s power and community solidarity in Orange.
This year is our 9th annual Remembering Rosa concert. In collaboration with Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Orange Public Schools we invite you to join the Remembering Rosa Community Choir!
WHAT: A Community Choir will learn 1-2 songs to sing on this year’s Remembering Rosa concert.
WHO: The choir is open to everyone! In the past we have had children as young as 4 and adults as old as 84.
WHEN & WHERE: Rehearsals are Saturday November 16th and Saturday November 17th at 10am at Ebenezer Baptist Church on William St. in Orange. The dress rehearsal is Thursday December 5th at 6pm at The HUUB on Cleveland St in Orange. The concert is on Friday December 6th at 6:30PM at Central Elementary School’s Auditorium, also on Cleveland Street in Orange.
